Brand History

Casio was founded in April 1946 by an engineer called Tadao Kashio. The first product released by Casio was called the yubiwa pipe, a ring which allowed the wearer to smoke while keeping their hands free. The profits from this invention were invested in producing calculators, Casio's Model 14-A calculators were the world's first all electronic calculators when they were released in 1957. Casio watches didn't appear on the market until October 1974 when they released the Casiotron. Since moving into the wristwatch market Casio have achieved massive success with their wide range of watches including the shock resistant Casio G-Shock and the Casio Edifice Bluetooth.
